Birth Keeper's Medicine Bag

A Workshop for Birth Professionals & Plant Lovers

October 14th

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Womancraft Midwifery ~ Amherst, MA

Birth Keeper, a term coined by Jeannine Parvati Baker, is the marriage of "Earth Keeper" and "Birth".

"Earth Keeper is a Native American Word for Eco-activists as well as holders of the sacred Earth-based wisdoms” ~ Jeannine Parvati Baker

Here, as connected to birth, it refers to those who hold sacred the wisdom, activism, mystery and grace of supporting birthing mamas and those on their childbearing journey.

These workshops are offered with deep gratitude to Jeannine Parvati Baker for her transformational work in holding sacred space, conscious birth and women's wellness.

Herbal Medicine for Birth Professionals

As midwives and birth professional we are continually invited to strengthen our tool kit for supporting challenges associated with labor and birth.

Join herbalist and spiritual midwife, Kristen Avonti, for an afternoon crafting an herbal birth kit, deepening your relationship with healing herbs and gaining insight into working with herbs as a birth professional.

During our time together we will focus on developing a relationship of working with plant based medicines and how we can use them within the scope of midwifery to support our birthing mamas.

This workshop is being offered as part of the WomanCraft Midwifery Advanced Class. This workshop is open to midwives, student midwives, doulas, herbalists, birth professionals and those wishing to deepen their relationship with the healing herbs of labor and birth.
